I am not sure there are words to describe  how stunning the images in this coloring book are...in fact, calling it a coloring book just seems wrong considering the beauty of the artwork inside.  Each picture is unique and just begs for you to add color and give them life. Or you could even frame them as is, they are that gorgeous.  I am almost afraid of messing them up with my inept attempts at coloring.  The pages are thick enough that, I believe, a variety of different pens, pencils, markers, or watercolors (the pictures would be amazing in watercolor) could be used. However, the pages are doublesided, much to my dismay, making it a difficult decision on which one to frame and/or color. I also wish there was perforated making it easier to remove and color the pages.

As for the images, they feature a variety of whimsical mermaids, fairies, robots, steampunk, and more.  There are even images with one of my favorite animals...the narwhal!  There is also this little blob - like creature who pops up on a few pages with tips, which I do admit was a little annoying and ruined the effect of a couple of my favorite pages.  But overall, this is a wonderful book that I look forward to putting my creative mark on.

My Rating: 4 1/2 Stars
