My Review

Title: Infinity
Author: Jus Accardo
Format: Digital ARC
Source: Netgalley

With Infinity, Jus Accardo has created a fascinating Sci-Fi story that captured my attention from the very first page.

After someone attacks Kori, the tough and feisty main character of the story, she discovers a whole new truth that her General father neglected to share with her. Apparently, her father heads a secret government project called the Infinity Division. Before her death, Kori's mother discovered and built a way to travel between parallel worlds.  Somehow, somewhere there are an infinite number of worlds, each different from the other, and now someone from one of these other dimensions has targeted Kori.

As Kori adjusts to this news, she must work along with Cade and Noah, who have come from a parallel world and knew another Kori, to stop Dylan, who has traveled to Kori's world seeking revenge and doesn't care who he hurts along the way.

This would be a lot for anyone to handle, but Kori is pretty tough and willing to listen and learn despite the multitude of questions running through her head. I am not sure that I would have handled it as well. Kori is curious about her other selves and the worlds in which they lived, but still struggles with what this knowledge means for her emotionally as she gets to know the people who knew her and her mother in this alternate world.

The whole concept of parallel worlds fascinates me and I love how the author used it in the story.  Like Kori, I had so many questions. It would be one thing just learning the differences between the various versions of herself and the life she led, but Kori has to do this all while trying to stop someone who wants her dead.  Plus, the author has added the concept of traveling between these dimensions. It all makes for a fascinating and thrilling story.

And I truly enjoyed the characters and getting to know them. It isn't easy for Cade and Noah, who know and love an entirely different Kori and have a personal connection to Dylan, the antagonist of the story, and the author does a wonderful job of showing this. I can even understand the motivations of Dylan because who wouldn't want to change things knowing another world exists where the bad things haven't happened and the people you cared about still exist.

The action and tension in the story as Kori and her new acquaintances rush to fix things before it's too late had me eagerly turning each page to see what would happen and what new discovery Kori would make about her world and the world where Cade and Noah came from.  And the bonds and relationships formed only added to the story.

This may have been my first Jus Accardo book, but I cannot wait to read more.

My Rating: 4 Stars
